A West Bengal mill that became a national house
Rashmi Group was founded in 1966. From a base in West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Odisha it now runs plants in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Himachal Pradesh, with the head office in Kolkata.
Flagship Rashmi Metaliks, incorporated in 2004, is India's largest maker of ductile iron pipes and fittings, and the second largest in the world, with 2,400,000 MT of annual capacity. The same Kharagpur geography now hosts the Group's clean energy arm.

Kharagpur and Jhargram, specified as one system
The Group runs a 9.6 MTPA integrated iron and steel facility with pellet, sinter, pig iron, sponge iron, DI pipe, billet, TMT, and wire rod under one roof. Four owned railway sidings and 39 GPWIS wagons move the tonnes.
West Bengal awarded the campus Ultra Mega Project status. CRISIL rates the house AA (stable) long-term and A1+ short-term. That is the industrial floor Rashmi 6 Paradigm inherited.
